在到達泰山景區(qū)之前，我先給大家對泰山做一個介紹。泰山位于山東省泰安市，是我國的"五岳之首"，是中華民族的一個偉大的象征，是東方文化世界的縮影，是"天人合一"的寄托之地。在一九八七年被列入了世界自然文化雙重遺產(chǎn)的目錄。泰山自古以來就被看做是國家穩(wěn)定，民族團結(jié)的一個象征。歷朝歷代，無論誰當(dāng)上了黃帝，第一件事就是朝拜泰山。先后有十二位黃帝來到了泰山封禪。泰山因此也就成為了我國唯一一座受過黃帝封禪的名山，無論是誰，都對泰山是仰慕備至，孔子和杜甫先后都登過泰山，還留下了一些千古絕句。

現(xiàn)在，我們已經(jīng)到達了泰山之頂，玉皇頂。玉皇頂舊稱太平頂，又叫做天燭峰，海拔為一千五百四十五米，在我們身旁這座紅顏色的廟宇，我們叫它玉皇廟，故稱太清宮。廟內(nèi)主要建筑有玉皇殿、迎旭亭等，始建年代已不詳。在玉皇頂上看日出，可是絕佳之地。如果你有興趣可以在山頂住一個晚上，明天趕早在玉皇頂上看日出。

泰山位于山東省南部的泰安市。泰安市原名泰山市，泰山的名氣很大，所以把泰山取名作為市名，像樂山所在地點叫樂山市一樣。泰山是五岳之首。五岳分別為：東岳泰山南岳衡山、中岳嵩山、西岳華山、北岳恒山。東岳泰山排名第一，高度(主峰離地面的距離)排行第三，大約1545米高，有"登泰山，小天下"之稱。有許多名人均登臨泰山，如秦始皇漢武帝唐太宗宋祖乾隆。據(jù)記載，泰山至今已經(jīng)有二十億年的歷史。

再往上走，大家就到了主峰部位。主峰的東側(cè)有一個觀日石。在原來，傳說古人因為爬山時很多人看不到日出，人們齊心協(xié)力從山上搬來一塊大石頭，大家把它放在觀日點，人們站著或者坐在上面，就看到了日出。
現(xiàn)在，為了看到日出，人們夜里三點就來爬泰山或提前住在山頂上，這是為了等待看日出。主峰的西側(cè)有一塊石碑，上面雕刻著四個鮮紅的大字："五岳獨尊"，這四個大字時古代文學(xué)家孟子(孟軻)說出的，意思是："五岳之中，排名榜首"。從古至今，這四個字成了千古佳來到泰山面前，站在迎客松下，隱隱約約可以看到十八盤。因為古人說："一葉障目，不見泰山"。十八盤的臺階共1594級。高約400多米，可以說是泰山的"脊梁"。如果你從下面的中天門順著十八盤一直登上南天門，你就會感覺到小腿肚子一直在不停的打哆嗦，這是因為十八盤很陡。
